: 'Witch'
Agency:
Client:
Date: October 2019
The witching hour is drawing near as Halloween approaches, and Skittles is debuting its first Halloween spot in over five years, featuring a very annoyed witch.
The ad, created by DDB Chicago in partnership with Smuggler Production House, takes a familiar Halloween fairytale and gives it a twist. The story spotlights a witch who lures a teen into her house with the promise of Skittles. The action takes place in the witch’s kitchen, a drab room with a raven flying around and a tub-cauldron on a gas flame in the middle of the room.
The teen sits comfortably in the tub eating Skittles. He asks the witch if she has any more Skittles, something the viewer assumes she must have offered him to get him into the house. Her plan is foiled after the teen ends up being so annoying that she begs him to leave the house. He, in turn, keeps asking for more Skittles, even showing a video on his phone of a Skittles commercial with a witch who begs a similar child in a cauldron to eat all the Skittles. He states, “Oh, it’s not as good as I remember,” then goes back to begging for Skittles.
It closes with the tag, “Annoy the rainbow. Taste the rainbow.”

: 'Drink Wiser Masked Mugs'
Agency:
Client:
Date: October 2019
Halloween’s all about showing off your costume. But not like this. To remind people to 'Drink Wiser' and hydrate between Buds this holiday, Budweiser is showing the world what can happen when you don’t drink responsibly during one of the biggest drinking occasions of the year.
Budweiser worked with real people who have been arrested for irresponsible drinking behavior on Halloween, reimagining their costumed mugshots as creative reminders across social media for others to act responsibly this holiday. On Halloween night, people can follow @BudweiserUSA on Twitter and turn on tweet notifications for real-time reminders to 'Drink Wiser', by hydrating between Buds.
First launched in 2018, Drink Wiser is Budweiser’s signature responsible drinking platform that rallies all beer drinkers around a simple call-to-action: hydrate between Buds. Now, Budweiser is bringing its Drink Wiser message to all those celebrating Halloween, a traditionally high drinking occasion.
Budweiser will debut the Drink Wiser campaign through social media and digital OOH in three cities: New York City, Philadelphia and Chicago. In participating locations, those who purchase Budweiser until November 1 on Drizly will be gifted a $5 Lyft gift card for a safe ride home.
Anheuser-Busch has a long history of encouraging people to enjoy beer responsibly. The brewer’s first responsible drinking message, 'Budweiser Means Moderation,' dates back more than 100 years, and its first major responsible drinking campaign, 'Know When to Say When,' launched more than 35 years ago.

: 'Monster Auditions and Halloween Ringtones'
Agency:
Client:
Date: October 2019
Swift was tasked with creating work for Google Nest for the Nest Hello Doorbell, which has four spooky sounds for the season: Monsters, Ghosts, Witches and Vampires. The work playfully takes us behind-the-scenes for each audition – watch to hear the the Millennial “Boo” from the Ghost or a pitchy witch.
This is a social campaign and the videos will run as paid social across Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, and will be posted to Google’s own channels. With an authentic documentary vibe, this work supports the creative concept that these are real monsters in the real world, all while conveying that you’re not watching an ad.

: 'Ghoul-Aid Haunted House'
Agency:
Client:
Date: October 2019
To bring back the limited time only 'Ghoul Aid' for Halloween this year, Kool-Aid has released a fun (but very spooky) spot to haunt viewers across the internet.
Known for crashing cultural moments, the Kool-Aid Man has been hiding in a haunted house ready to scare incomers just in time for Halloween.
While Kool-Aid’s brand content tends to fall more in line with lighthearted positivity, this spot is an unexpected twist of a spooky narrative that ends with Kool-Aid Man bringing the unapologetic fun to the scene, and some Ghoul-Aid Jammers.
The creative behind this film was managed by VaynerMedia and produced by VaynerProductions. This film will live across Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.

: 'VooDew'
Agency:
Client:

Mountain Dew has finally announced the secret flavor of its Halloween-themed drink VooDew.
With a whopping 35m pounds eaten per year – enough to circle the moon 21 times with nine billion individual kernels – the flavor is Candy Corn. And, what better day to announce it than National Candy Corn Day?
While the tri-colored candy is either welcomed with open arms or vilified every October, one thing Dew drinkers can all agree on is that VooDew will be sorely missed. The drink will only be available for a short time before being sent to the Mountain Dew graveyard.

: 'Not a Costume'
Agency:
Client:
Date: October 2019
A new campaign for advocacy group Chiefs of Ontario, created by BBDO Toronto, aims to stop inaccurate portrayals on Halloween.
The hot button issue about cultural appropriation that hit the headlines during the Canadian election isn’t a conversation we want to forget just yet.
Halloween is meant to be enjoyed. It’s the one night in the year we get to pretend to be someone else and dress up in costume. What we so easily forget is that someone’s culture isn’t something to be borrowed or misconstrued.
That’s where the lines become blurred and why it’s important to have this conversation. Many have worn costumes in the past that we may not have thought were offensive, but to plead ignorance isn’t enough of a reason in 2019 to commit the same mistake.
Want to dress up like an Indigenous person this Halloween? Then dress up like an Indigenous firefighter, lawyer, doctor, pilot or any profession. Because that’s what an Indigenous person is. Not a costume.
The campaign is being promoted on social media, through PR, and the costumes are on display at Toronto-based costume store Theatrics Plus.

: 'Dr. Dan’s Vile Concoctions'
Agency:
Client:
Date: October 2019
Deutsch NY is operating under the theme of 'Dr. Dan’s Vile Concoctions' this Halloween. Not only is Dan Kelleher, CCO of Deutsch NY, a mad-lover of Halloween, he’s also a traveling snake oil salesman.
Dr. D. Killerher, Druggist, will be pedaling his cur-a-tive libations at the agency Halloween event and those in costumes ‘will be judged’, and compete for cash prizes.
The office décor, which, with the magic of photoshop, created a total transformation of Deutsch’s talent. The printed panels are meant to be old lobby cards, and the Studio Team, headed by Rondell Meeks, distressed each poster – giving it that old, dusty feel.
